110 and Outta Here! {day 23}

Well, a jump in ANC from 22 to 110 buys you a first-class ticket home!

But first one final hamburger...
...a bang-up pack-up job by Dad...

An EKG, echocardiogram, and dressing change later....

Tentative schedule:
Bone marrow biopsy and lumbar puncture on Monday. These will determine Sam's official remission status...which leads us directly into the bone marrow transplant process. More on all that as it plays out.

With gratitude to everyone for all your love and support -- we are eternally grateful and thank you so very much for the packages and mail, the videos and emails and text messages and jokes and drawings and gifts...the meals and the baked goods and the LOVE that we feel each and every day for our whole family. Thank you thank you thank you.

Blessed are You, our God, who has brought us to this moment of celebration.

  1. So so so so...(any more so's?) happy to hear you're home, Sam. Not that you're "so-so" Sam, you're way more than that! Glad for the good news....and btw, I LOVE HAMBURGERS...Have you ever tried them with chopped green olives? We called them Olive-burgers when I was in highschool, and no one made them better than Jack's Diner in Lincolnwood. Maybe you can try them there.

  2. So happy for this news -- can't form words.

  3. B"H and refuah shleimah.
    I prayed for Sam at Shiloh on Tuesday, at the Tel. And of course when I say my daily T'hillim (psalms) at home, which is a modern Shiloh neighborhood.

  4. I wish I lived near you all so I could give you all a giant hug. We are all in this together and we will all be here to celebrate when everything is successful! Sam, enjoy Mom's mac & cheese and eat up!

  5. Wonderful news! refush shleimah from Los Angeles.

  6. Great news! wishing you all a shabbat shalom-shabbat ahava-shabbat mishpacha!
